The Tuscan Archipelago

Territories

Portoferraio in Elba to idyllic coves north at Capraia and south at Giglio, past the isle of Montecristo.

Our Inspiration

Sail cove to cove around Elba, where Napoleon was exiled, enjoy the capital town of Portoferraio. Pause in the local piazzas for an aperitif before dining on board, your chef will conjure up local flavours like squid ink risotto served with a delicious Elba DOC wine. Sail around Capraia a volcanic island in the archipelago where you can snorkel in crystal clear seas. Pianosa is known as the ‘island of silence’, visit the Roman catacomb and a fort. Pass the isle of Montecristo, the inspiration for Dumas’ imprisoned Count. Continue to Giglio where the blue sea reflects on the steep granite cliffs above coves scented by Mediterranean scrub. Visit the seaside village on Castiglione della Pescaia, and its Aragonese castle. Finally, there’s Punta Ala, with a busy tourist port and many wonderful coves for lovers of nature and free beaches.
